Samuel served his country with distinction in the United States Air Force from 1961 to 1981. During his military career, he also served as an exchange pilot with the United States Navy and flew over 200 missions in Vietnam—an extraordinary record that reflected both courage and dedication to duty.

Samuel was a man of quiet strength, deeply respected by those who knew him and admired by many more. His life was marked by service, loyalty, and a steady presence that anchored those around him.
He will be remembered not only for his accomplishments, but for the enduring example he set—for his family, his friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
