We were so saddened to hear about Vicki. She was a beautiful woman inside and out. We enjoyed being her neighbor in Washington, Texas, for eight years. I remember one day in particular when her car wouldn't start. She called and asked if we had jumper cables. Larry was at work, so I took our cables down to her, explaining that I really didn't know how to use them. She had them hooked up to the cars in no time and was soon on her way to work. She had many talents! The world is a dimmer place without her. Our thoughts go out to her family.\nDiane and Larry Caudill

I am saddened to hear of Vicki's passing and wish to express my condolences to her family. Vicki and I were in Donna High band together and as a fellow flautist, we challenged each other for first chair often. Even though she was an Honor's student and twirler at the time, she surely gave me a run for the honor. She was always classy and polished and polite. Her brother Gene graduated in my class so I grew up with both of them. The angels had to have been singing with her passing.

I knew Vicki in the 60s when we were teens and at the same Lutheran Church in Weslaco. We were the same age, and, I recall fondly having a crush on this oh so pretty young woman. I moved away in the late 60s, and, began to re-visit the Valley some 15 years ago. When down on one of my trips, I asked friends about Vicki and got no answer. I should have pursued it - as I would have loved to have simply said hello to her if she was still in the Valley. I missed my opportunity it turns out, and I'm saddened by that. So long and may you rest in peace, Vicki. You, in my memories, were special.
