Oh, I do hope Bette is still alive! I am the recruiter that got Bill and Bette started on their journey of Locum Tenens. That is a story in its self! Bill and Bette became such good friends; they couldn't make it to my wedding, but they came to my parent's house the next weekend....in their motor home! Dr Locke even took out the stiches from my Golden Retriever, who had a lump removed, which turned out to be a fatty tumor ! I last saw them when I was still living in Wilmington, separated from my husband. They talked me into going to an Urgent Care facility, as I had been bitten by my neighbor's dog. Not knowing when I had my last tetanus shot and having complete trust in Dr. Locke, we went to the closest Doc in a Box! Got a tetanus shot and we went on down town to the Cotton Exchange! Hundreds of shops in 8 former buildings, dating back to the 18th century. They insisted that I buy 2 Golden Retriever ceramics; they bought one and I bought 1! I had 2 goldens then, Freeman and Style. Bette, I still have them! I now have Golden # 6, Phineas, and #3 Great Dane, Mercy! You and Dr. Locke were more than clients to me! I love you both dearly! I came back to Ohio to care for my mom, in 2007 until her death in 2010. My plan was to go back to Wilmington, NC but I decided to stay. I was 25 when I moved to Raleigh and I decided I wanted to get to know my brothers, as adults. I'm so glad that I did, as my older brother died in early November 2023, at the age of 69. I'm going to leave my email and hope that I hear from you, Bette. You both were so important to me!
