My heartfelt condolences to the family and close friends of Mrs. Churchill. May she rest in eternal peace until the day she rises again in glory! I have never forgotten Mrs. Churchill. She was my one of my teachers at Mercedes High. She was the only teacher ever to have encouraged me throughout my educational years --with just one short sentence she took time to write on my exam, "You can do so much better than this!" Her encouragement meant so much to me. I regret never having told her how much her words meant to me. Without her knowing, I have held her close to my heart and because of her, I make sure to encourage others whether in word or in deed. I can still see her standing tall walking from one end of the classroom to the other. She never used notes; she knew her subject well and taught with love. Until we see each other again, may the perpetual light shine upon her!
