Weslaco/Indiana-Kyliegh Burgess, 29, passed away on March 29, 2026. She was born on June 18, 1996, in Wabash, Indiana.
Kyliegh lived her life with passion and appreciation for the beauty around her. She found joy in art, music, reading, writing, video games, walking, and cooking. She loved to travel across the country, embracing the diverse beauty of America. Whether watching sunsets, observing wildlife, or taking long walks in nature, Kyliegh found peace and inspiration in the world around her.
Her love for cooking was especially meaningful to those who knew her. Kyliegh’s delicious recipes will be cherished and shared for generations, serving as a lasting reminder of the care and love she poured into everything she created.
In her younger years, Kyliegh worked for Fat Boys Pizza, Domino's, and EA Games, where she built friendships and carried her strong work ethic.
Kyliegh’s faith was a cornerstone of her life. She loved God deeply and was devoted to reading her Bible and spending time in prayer each day. Throughout her courageous battle, she remained steadfast in her faith, finding comfort in the promise of being with her Lord and Savior.
Known for her humor, warmth, and compassion, Kyliegh was a light in the lives of many. She was always there for those in need, offering a listening ear without judgment. Her bright smile could light up any room, and her presence was often accompanied by laughter and joy.
Kyliegh is preceded in death by her parents, Brad Burgess and Heather Landis, and her paternal grandmother, Shirly Burgess, and her maternal grandfather, Larry Landis.
She is survived by her grandmother, Doris Landis, who also raised her; her paternal grandfather, Steven Burgis; and many dear friends who became like family at Paradise South RV Park in Weslaco.
A Celebration of Kyliegh’s life will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at The Family Church in Weslaco.
Kyliegh will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her love, faith, and the joy she brought into the lives of others.
