"Absent from the body is Present with the Lord". I had the pleasure of meeting Nancy around 1992
in Elgin, TX when I became friends with her son, Michael Chapa. She was so welcoming, kind and
attentive. Nancy made sure I knew how happy she was that Michael came to Chula Vista, CA to be
my High School Prom date in 1994. Although I am very heavy hearted about the news of her passing,
I know her suffering has ended and she is in peace. Nancy made a positive difference in this world
with her radiant smile and joyful heart! I pray that one day when family and friends think of Nancy,
a smile will come to their face before a tear drops from their eyes.
